Modulul XCP-402 este destinat stabilizarii in plan orizontal a platformelor de tip multicopter echipate cu motoare electrice sau termice.

Poate fi instalat pe mini-platforme sau pe sisteme cu motoare mai mari, cu 4 sau mai multe motoare.
Se livreaza impreuna cu interfata si un software dedicat (pentru platforme Windows) care permite reglajul individual a parametrilor PID (Proportional, Integral, Derivativ) pe cele trei axe de miscare.
Astfel stabilitatea maxima in hovering poate fi obtinuta pentru fiecare platforma in parte.

There is a feature of the Autopilot which can be especially interesting for research institutes: Sensor reading, data processing and flight control are all done by one of the 60 MHz ARM processors. The second processor is not used during normal operation and can be freely programmed by the user using freeware tools. To get you started we will offer you some sample code and instructions of how to access the on-board processor. With these capabilities of the AscTec AutoPilot your own control algorithms can be implemented on-board and tested in flight, using our attitude control as a solid basis for your experiments. The user-processor has access to all sensor data, calculated attitude data and position estimates, and it can directly interfere with attitude and/or position control.
